Gig Harbor is home—always has been.
I’m running for City Council to give back to the town that raised me and help shape its next chapter.
I’ve led my family’s insurance business in Gig Harbor for the past 15 years, continuing a legacy that began in 1896. Running a fourth-generation company has taught me how to solve problems, bring people together, and plan for the long term—skills I bring to City Council every day.

MEET REID
Putting My Experience
to Work
Gig Harbor is the community that raised me, and now I’m raising my own family here. I’ve served on local boards, volunteered regularly, and spent two full terms on the Planning Commission—where I helped shape the 2016 Comprehensive Plan, including rezoning property for balanced residential use and updating park and arts elements to better reflect community needs. That experience gave me a strong grasp of land use planning, city code, and sustainable growth knowledge I now use to help make city policy work for the people who live here.
I’m proud of where Gig Harbor has been—and I’m even more excited about where we can go together. I believe thoughtful leadership rooted in experience and community values can make a real difference.
At the end of the day, I’m running because I care deeply about this town and the people in it. My goal is simple: to keep Gig Harbor a place where families thrive, businesses grow, and neighbors look out for one another. Let’s keep building a future that honors our past and serves everyone who calls this place home.
